Replacing Canine Teeth with Dental Implants
Paul K, aged 22 years, was referred to Dental Implants USA by his orthodontist for his implant prosthodontic treatment. He wanted the experts at Dental Implants USA to plan and complete this difficult case, in one convenient location.
Paul’s history was that he had his canine teeth extracted some years ago, as they both had failed to develop into the upper dental arch. The spaces remaining were too small for the correct size teeth, so orthodontic treatment had opened the spaces enough to allow the for future correct size teeth. Once the orthodontic bands were removed, Paul was evaluated by the doctors at Dental Implants USA, and a treatment plan was put into place.
2 dental implants were carefully placed using a surgical guide made by the prosthodontist, as the space between the two roots on either side was limited.
During the implant healing period, the spaces were held open using a flipper, made accurately by the Dental Implants USA prosthodontic dental laboratories. After a few short months Paul’s implants were ready to receive the newly crafted crowns.
Paul had made the wise investment in the top level of crowns available, due to the esthetic demands of this case and his age.
